I moved over from the 'competitor' and have to say I have found 98% of the apps I was used to having or something similar which does the same job and a whole bunch more which probably won't ever be available on the other OS.Hardware wise the phone is amazing, the screen is nothing like you have ever seen, the vibrant colours and true blacks really make the images 'pop'. High def movies look stunning, I was watching my movies on the phone rather than laptop while on the plane.CPU and GPU speed wise, nothing out there can touch it right now, I've run some benchmarks on the phone and it is the fastest out there and not by a small margin either.

I've attached a picture showing a quadrant benchmark test with a result of 3709.Camera takes great pictures, I can't compare to other smart phones but they look as I would think the should. The video is crisp, one thing which I found weird was when taking 1080p video the lens angle was tighter (more zoomed in) than when shooting low res video which gave to a wider angle to record with.Battery life is pretty good, better than my previous phone, but still within the normal smart phone range, heavy use and it lasts a day, a bit of usage here and there and it lasts two or more days. Big pro is the battery is user replaceable so you just need to pick up a spare if you think you won't have access to a usb port for a good while. This also means if you have the phone for a long time once the battery starts to show its age you can effortlessly replace it, unlike my phone previously. That about sums it up, if you are looking for a phone to upgrade to then you should seriously consider the Galaxy S 2.
Rated 5 out of5 byBig Lebowski fromBest smartphone I have bought:) I bought this phone in December 2011 on a two year contract and it expires this December. I'm still going to keep this phone but use it on a different phone plan.
This phone is so reliable and easy to use. The functions and capability of it really have impressed me and I see it as a great investment in a phone. Hopefully it will last me many more years:) This Christmas I'm treating it to a new battery, cover, micro-sd card and protective screen for its excellent service:). I got so bored of the iphone and its restrictions with Adobe etc etc and I was worried about what other phone on the market could have better technology and ease of use. As soon as I saw this phone I loved the look and feel it! But, that's only a small part of it for me.
The screen size and quality are superb, the choice of Apps are excellent and I find the Android versions have a better layout and ease of use, they are a lot smarter. Also the music hub is great and the choice of music is a lot more extensive than itunes and the ease of using the software that you prefer and transferring between devices is a luxury that you just don't get with Apple. On that note, I can finally use Flash! The best phone I have had and it I use it all the time, so I do drain the battery a fair amount but what's the point of having a phone of this standard if your not going to use it.plus I can now buy a brand new battery if I need it and replace it myself. This is a great phone and will and have recommended it to all my friends and family. In my opinion a much better phone that the iphone 4S, which is basically trying to catch up with the technologies the Galaxy S2.
Samsung, I've had your phones before and send one of them straight back but you've hit the bulls eye with this one - Great phone, great value!! Rated 5 out of5 byFlashHarry fromExcellent product for what I need it for Waited for S3 to be launched, and hey presto, the price drops £90 overnight.A very intuitive phone. My previous phone was a Orange San Franisco, and I could largely operate the S2 without the need for any manuals. It does come with a very informative manual, which has an excellent index if you are stuck on something specific. The enormous popularity of the phone means that you will always find plenty of information on YouTube, as I needed to when I wanted to download a specific ringtone. The Tesco PAYG tariff is excellent for my needs, as £5 per month gives you 500mb of data, so far I've only ever reached 200mb. And so far its been worth every penny,Horse Powerthe phone its self is tremendously fast, and powerful, heck i dont think a computer from the start of the 21st century could run some stuff ive had this pull.

Each time I returned inside 7 days & exchanged for another iPhone. After almost 4 years of the same menu's I fancied a change.
Been using the galaxy s 2 just over a month now & have to say that absolutely delighted. Does everything my iPhones did & also has a fantastic design. Read alot of reviews about build quality & have to say that this is only knit picking. For me it's the iPhone killer.
