In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must alsobe Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. Not sure I would omit the GPS antenna (might be a re-sale issue), but you can definitely ignore the built-in nav to use Google Maps.
Can't vouch for other iPhone apps, but once you sync up your iPhone, the default screen will show iPhone apps, so you would just touch the screen to activate the app you want and go from there. To use the built-in nav, you actually have to press a small button on the left of the unit to get to another screen, so it's actually easier to use the iPhone app than the built-in nav.

We don't use his site for doing Ford Radio Codes for Forum Members anymore for this reason. If you ask one of the forum members on here for a code and make your request politely then you will have your code fairly shortly after you have posted your request. The only delay is likely to be the time it takes for one of them to see your post. So, what is the serial number of your radio, please?
